Help Me Please.

kevin browne

I washed away my tears only because I knew
There was no chance, nothing new
Under lovers doorstep straight off from the start
I placed her there alongside my lonesome heart
I looked for loves basket as I fell to my knees
Oh, good Lord, won't you help me, help me, please
I lost her and won her when I remembered how
To kiss her right here and right now
The dining the dinner the dishes and wishes
None any better than her kisses
The sun the sky the moon the stars
Neptune is too far from mars
I look through my telescope so I could see
But she doesn't need a telescope to love me.
