pots-and-pans

I knew of her

She went to my school

I saw her almost every day

Funny how things turn out

She existed in my life

For years and years and years

And yet I never noticed her

And then we graduated and she was gone

It wasn't a very important graduation

It was our transition

From fifth to sixth

From elementary to middle school

Then she popped back into my life

A few years later

With a smile and a wave

And we became friends

And I finally came out

And said who I was

And we became close

And we became more

p&p, I recently wrote a poem titled 'serendipity' and I think your getting together with her falls under that same heading. So well written! I love it. That last line is just beautiful!

I love the simplicity of your poem, yet it convery a lovely and meaningful story. Great piece.
