Shut off from society
Unable to cope
I can’t see a way out
Cutting no longer helps
I’m losing the battle
Dark thoughts don’t leave
Eventually, I’ll have to end the pain.

Understand there are other options
I know it hurts but
Can’t you see there’s a bright side?
It doesn’t have to be this way
Don’t believe your own lies
Eventually, it will be ok

- Comment from author about the poem: Relapse and recovery and repeat. It’s hard work, but there’s so many people going through the same thing. Being on the border is confusing but writing helps. I hope it can help someone else too.

You are such a knight fighting a hard battle. Do not give up, even though you are tired, you are exhausted. As long as you fighting, there is hope. Yes, eventually, it will be OK. Well expressed.
