Waiting In The Cold

Kurt Philip Behm

Twilight,

Day surrendering

Light into

Submission,

Taking a knee

Before the night,

Entrusting its

Future

To a darkness

Unknown,

Waiting in the cold

—for dawn to return

Beautifully written, Kurt, love your word choices and combinations like 'taking a knee before the night' sounds nearly like a marriage proposal! Or 'day surrendering light into submission', a subtle, yet forceful way of describing the onset of night. What can I say, you are good!

      Perceptive as always.

      Thanks Fred.
