Stay Or Go?

atreya

I can see the sympathy in their eyes
they reflect the love and compassion I wish to receive from you, rather than the neglect I've become accustomed to.
You break me down I then pick myself up, we make plans of change and promises of never again, Only to find ourself's running in the same circles filled with pain and regret.
I see my mother in myself and my father in you, I pray we have not sealed our fate and are destined for doom.
I love you, I do, but this life has great purpose, I will continue my journey, either with, or without you.
I want you to feel the same, I want your spirit to sing with each waking day, I want you to live by the words that you I hear you say.
We have grown so much in these years we have spent, but we have also deteriorated and went back more than a step.
Free we must live, kind we must try, friends forever we must be, for I have found a family in you, and you in me.
