He Wasn\\\'t Mine

TRW

It started out with a passionate kiss I ever had,

His arms wrapped around me drove me crazy and mad.

For all the things I knew, I must of been insane.

To love him, when it seems like I had nothing to gain.

CHORUS:

Well, he wasn't mine

to love and to hold.

He wasn't mine

to cherish till I'm old.

He wasn't mine

and later in time

he took my heart of gold.

I couldn't help to wonder when I kissed away his tears,

that he really needed me to wipe away his fears.

The terrible pain in his eyes that I could see.

He needed me more than he could ever let be.

REPEAT CHORUS:

Then there's that day he said he was just using me.

My mind so confused, but my heart said it couldn't be.

He walked off, never looking back into the night.

Taking his trouble heart and soul out of my sight.

REPEAT CHORUS:

He wasn't mine

He wouldn't let it be.

He wasn't mine

He couldn't be set free.

Hope later in time,

my heart of gold he will bring back to me.

REPEAT CHORUS:
