Eventide

SarahJ

Standing out at the waters edge,

Watching the clouds explode, spraying their colour with  careless effort,

The tide ebbs & flows

Trying to reach you, then pulling back

The sun is tired she's ready to set,

The wind blows your hair, following that track

Of that lone tear, escaping it's prison

A bird calls out to her mate,

A ship in the distance holds a sense of opulence,

Then all that's left is footprints.....until the sea reaches out again.... .
