I’m The Girl
I'm the girl everyone makes fun of,
I'm the girl that "acts" depressed.
I'm the girl that flinches around men,
afraid I'll be struck.
I'm the girl who cries everyday.
the girl who when able to,
drinks away her problems.
But they always come back.
I'm the girl.
I'm the girl afraid to ask for help,
Afraid to be ignored.
I'm the girl who is lonely
I'm the girl that looks into the mirror
and only sees a body full of flaws.
I'm the girl that is talked about,
when people think I can't hear.
I'm the girl with a body full of scars.
I'm the girl with horrid flashbacks.
Yes, I'm the girl.
I'm the girl who screams 'Help!'
I was the girl who laughed a true laugh.
I was the girl who when she smiled,
her dimples showed.
I was the girl who loved her body.
I was the girl who loved herself
I was the girl who wasn't destroyed.
I was the innocent,
precious child.
I was the girl who's body wasn't soiled by men
I was the girl who didn't flinch around them.
I'm the girl who's dying inside.
Yes, dear God
I AM THE GIRL.
I'm the girl who's afraid to eat.
I'm the girl who's afraid to speak
I'm the girl who feels hideous.
I'm the girl you hear screaming for help but you ignore.
I'm the girl who's been brought down
I'm the girl who’s broken.
Why can no one see,
that I am the girl.
