Bullying

HannahKay

“Ignore it" that’s what they say,
They don’t know the price I pay.
Alone from eight till four at night,
They don't know that its my fight.
Not with anyone you wouldn’t know,
You don’t take the time to slow,
Slow it down and take a look,
At what you're doing to my book.

They say turn the page but what if it's filled with the same,
The same thing I go through everyone calling my fake name.
I hope you're proud of what you do,
Even though you have no clue.
You think its all messing around,
It hurts, how does that sound?
You don’t care,
No, you wouldn't dare.
You wouldn't want to lose your “cred".
You'd rather just hurt me instead.

I'm more mature than you will ever be,
What do you want me to do, fall to my knees and plea?
Not for someone like you,
No I'll try and breakthrough.
Breakthrough this wall that you have built,
Of comments and insults, have you no guilt?
When I breakthrough, because I will,
And I'll try climb to the top of this huge hill.

Life is hard and now I know,
But eventually you gotta let go.
Let go like I will,
Then I can sit back and chill.
Just remember to stay strong,
Always remember you do belong.
The road is long but there is an end,
You just have to find that one true friend.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I used to get bullied a lot when I was in school and this is a poem I wrote when I was going through that so it has a lot of meaning to it, although it isnt my best work it still holds a place in my heart
