Treading water

Turned and swerved these words to serve through filters of emotion.

This learning curve of drown or surf

Here breathless in the ocean.

How is it that the son the father

Calling out and treading water,

Fights to keep control he never had?

How is it the forgotten son

Of sons who lived and loved then wandered

sowed the seeds of mirrored fruit

And planted in the sand?
