Then Came The Sadness.

kevin browne

First, there was silence then came the sadness
When it was me who took all the blame
Unforgiving failures, they felt the same
But this happens when I look up to the stars
And that in heaven we fall from above
Secrets have spoken, I have unlocked
A future full of forgiving
And a past I finally blocked
I paid loves price but so have you
And the cost is highly expensive
If where ever it hurts then take the pain
Because love will learn to live again
I've been so lonely just recently
There's nothing left to face
I'll pay the consequence
I'll pay the loss
But I paid with it in grace.

Excellent closing line. Grace is so important. Grace nurtures self respect. Great deal of wisdom in your words sir.
I really related to this piece.

Kevin, sometimes we have to go through the whole gamut of emotions like sadness, and loss and more, before we realize that all we can really do is accept the facts with grace. Great poem!
