Stamps

Moom

If you want to send a letter

Use a stamp, there's nothing better

A little square where the queen resides

Placed perfectly on the right hand side

Collect a number of various ones

With Kings and Queens and doctors on

Make a little place just for your squares

And look at them fondly as you sit in your chair.

  • Comment from author about the poem: My friend asked me if I worked for days on my poems and I explained that they tend to be written in about 10 minutes. She didn't believe me so I asked her to give me a random subject and she gave me stamps... I wrote this one in 2 minutes

I know what you mean. Most of mine are little ditties i compose on the spot during convo's on skype or texting or emails... just throw aways, fun though.
Stuff i publish on here can be either 2 minute wonders (as was the heartfelt one today) or ones that have been hanging around - stalled - so to speak.
Whichever they are, this site is a godsend for our expression.

yes, some of mine are written in like ten minutes too tho some have taken maybe an hour or half an hour mainly because sometimes i write notes before hand and i think about them a little more and hence the time it takes is longer lol plus the fact some of mine can be very long, i 'm not sure it matters how long it takes
