Fed Up

Cynthia

I'm fed up being treated like an outcast

Fed up being used.

I'm fed up being played like a card

I'm just fed up

People treat me differently

Just because I'm from another place

I'm fed up with being stepped on

Fed up with their games

I let them walk all over me

But that ends today.

I'm a strong young lady

And that is how I'll stay

I will put my foot down

Walk tall and proud

I am fed up.

Just fed up.

Cynthia, you are a very good writer. This poem grabbed me right from the start. In my mind I saw this young lady putting her foot down, enough is enough! Honest and straight forward writing. After reading it I read some of your earlier poems too. Same thing. Very good! Would love to see you write something from your imagination. Maybe based on an actual event, but expanding on it. Letting your imagination fly!
Being fed up is only the first step, now you have to act! 🙂

All my poems that are sad are based on things that happen to me.

'' played like a card '' '' stepped on '' '' walked all over '' good expression for those who take you for granted , do not consider your feelings. this is well written , wow, i can kind of relate to this feeling ...sometimes you have just got to say . no .. dont treat me like that anymore , i wish people would listen but unfortunately they sometimes don't lol . but yes, i agree with you , try standing up for yourself, express your upset at being walked all over and say you will take no more lol

This was considerably liberating as I have made my way here from your first post! You have a gift!
