The Circle of Inspiration

Accidental Poet

The Circle of Inspiration

It influences us all

From young to old

Dark and light

And timid to bold

Round and round it goes

The circle of inspiration

It touches you and me

And between us is admiration

It could be a thought

Or just single word

And yet it might be

A delightful sound you heard

But whatever it is

Give it all you’ve got

Feed it from your heart

That of which you have a lot

All your love

All your passion

Be a source of inspiration

Especially in your own fashion

You inspire me

And I inspire you

Think of it poetically

A gift for everyone too

Smile at the world

And the world fills with elation

Smiling back at you

That’s the circle of inspiration

A fine write AP. I'm in a circle in me KP marriage, which has become a deep rut now. I'll never get out if this hole! lol.

    • Accidental Poet

And what's KP have to say?

      • orchidee

She says there's no escape. The rut will only get deeper as I continue going round in circles! lol.

You must be getting dizzy by now orchi. Anything I can do for you?

          • orchidee

Yep - find the key to this ball and chain she has put on my leg. She said she threw the key away, but I reckon she is hiding it!

            • Accidental Poet

One problem orchi, You, KP and the key would be on the other side of the pond from me. I think you're stuck with KP. Sorry bro.

              • orchidee

                Boo hoo. lol.

And there's so much to smile about if only others could see
                it. Fine write.

Thanks Michael. To see it they have to open their eyes.

                    AP,
                    Thank you for this
                    INSPIRATIONAL write!
                    I listened to ā€œThe Circle
                    Gameā€ lyrics by Tom Rush!
                    Enjoyed it very much!
                    This is what really grabbed
                    my attention...

                    ā€œWere captive on the
                    carousel of time
                    We canā€™t return, we can
                    only look behind from
                    where we cameā€!

Thank you for reading Laura. I love the song too. I picked the song because it shows a lot of inspiration from life.

Wonderful write. Inspiration is all around us, we see so much that the words within us seem to queue up in droves to be written.

True Andy, all part of the craft which we all share. Thanks for reading and your compliment.

                        • Accidental Poet

Thanks Fred. I was going on the idea that we find inspiration everywhere, even from each other. And I picked the video from so many different sources of inspiration. Thanks for reading.
