One foot on the Nile

Jamie

You shape the horizons,

adorn the abyss

You light the darkness

with a starry mist

You color the dawn

and the setting sun

whisper a warm breath

and Spring has begun

One foot on the Nile,

the Himalayas

surrender their claim

Wield the morning sun,

the stars humbly refrain

Yet, merciful is your tone

toward a speck like me
