Your star still shines

Jamie

I don't know where you've been,

by the song you sing

I'd say it's sad and grim

darkness and despair

you've seen your share

where even shadows

won't dare

but your star still shines

You're standing tall

stacking stones

side by side

building a wall

to keep your soul inside

but your star still shines

you couldn't hide it

with concrete and steel

you couldn't hide it

six feet in the ground

so bright and beautiful

it would light the world on fire

and burn all day

Your star still shines
