Just peace

Judith

I'm hurt, my heart bleeds

I'm deserving of an apology

Wading through the sea of your ego.

It's hard for you

You can't look me in the eye because you're right (or so you think, as you always think)

Should I go to him

Or should I forget about him

I seek peace for this war

This war brewing in my heart

Sometimes I'm the villain

Other times I'm not.

I forgive me, and I forgive you.

I'll kick pride to the curb

And pray peace for us both

So this tempest in our hearts can calm.

I hope you see things my way, but if you don't.

I still .... forgive me, and forgive you

I'll kick pride to the curb

And pray peace for us both

And go our separate ways.

Just peace.

I do this for the lives lost

I do this for the future

I do this because it's enough

I do this so my nights are peaceful

I do this for us.
