Don't Be Surprised

skyebellasario

Don't be surprised

That the adolescents

Are changing.

Leaving the indolent persona behind

And becoming the change

This increasingly sickening world

Needs.

Piles of stories

Have been crafted

About the teens

Leading the revolution

For a world

That desperately needs it.

So don't be surprised,

After years of anticipation

We are becoming fed up

Of seeing everything burst into flames.

How can young people

See the wrongdoing in mankind's ways

Clearer than people who have

Been alive for decades?

So don't be surprised,

We are rising.

This is a beautifully written declaration of revolution! And you are the poetic Joan of Arc!
