You've Run a Long Way

Jamie

Hard times

down a long road

troubles, like the weight of stone

it seems like a lifetime's gone

you've run a long way

Blood and ash

and shallow graves

darkness fuels the burning rage

and hope goes up in flames

it took a lifetime to find

just to watch it fade away

You've run a long way

with all your might

till the moon and the stars

touched the morning light

run all your life

and everybody wants to know

why you just can't let it go

you've run a long way
