Forever Is a Long Time....

Last August I had just met you,

Both were eighteen year old chicks,

I liked the things that you do,

You said you'd teach me to use chopsticks,

And I'd teach you stuff too.

Thought we'd be friends forever,

But forever is a long time...

Halloween came and passed,

Christmas was next,

Helped you cope with a break up,

Woke up at two AM to answer your text,

I thought we'd be friends forever,

But forever is a long time....

New Year's was finally here,

Two weeks after,

Met an amazing boy,

Who's able to make me die of laughter,

He and I bonded like best friends,

I told you about him,

Said I hope it never ends,

But forever is a long time....

You knew that liked him,

First time starting to fall,

But you started hanging around him,

Like you didn't care at all,

I told you not to be flirty, 

And you say you aren't,

But those screenshots look dirty,

Is this what you want?

Can I trust you at all?

I was warned by my mother,

That girls can be cruel,

Pretend to be your friend,

Or am I just a fool?

Now you talk to him more than to me,

I feel so betrayed,

Is that what you want to see?

I don't want to talk to you now,

Cuz I always believed,

That sisters are over misters,

And I don't see how you could let a boy poison our friendship,

Or were we ever?

I wished we could've been friends forever,

But forever is a long time....
