Lady of the Lake

poetessdarkly

Mighty frigate sails amass

Align courageous battles pass

Restless waters dark and dank

Many a ship to fathoms sank

Beauteous via skirts of steel

Captain brave at the wheel

An ally tis a majestic sea

Waves thrashing betide debris

Mighty Lady of the Lake

Streams asunder in a wake

A battle waged via formidable foe

Surrendered her to kelp below

Sirens hymned her demise

A sea cradled an ultimate prize

For even heroes of the sea

Must yield to an ebbing decree
