Honeybee Masquerade

Lottie

Shrouded clouds
And glossy eyes
The honey bee,
He blinks twice
Magic lifts him,
Just as she lifts me
The twinkling thing
I can only hope to see.

Closing shutter fast
My perfect images
A fading last
Round globes
Spread in my dreams
Her landscape wider,
More delicate than the sea.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Everytime I see those green eyes, a dream flashes behind my lids of where she could be only if dreams were actually free.
