Strength
I am beautiful like the ocean.
From the dolphins that soar my soul
or the coral reefs that makes my eyes green
and I have many layers to me.
Some parts are only visible from the shore,
but if you’re ever lucky enough to explore underwater
you’ll never want to leave.
The fish will always interest you
and the sand will make you feel at home.
You will always discover more
because the ocean is endless
full of things one can only imagine.
But be careful
because if you go too deep
you’ll come across the rubble
that the others left behind;
the broken pieces
that no one ever bothered to pick up.
But this doesn’t stop the ocean
nor will it stop me
because I am a wave
and no matter how many times I get knocked down
I will always get back up.
And as selfless as the ocean is
I will continue to give back
so you can make endless sandcastles
and sail all your boats.
And when night comes
you can lay beside me
and listen to my waves
crash on the shore
because the ocean loves nothing more
than to see people smile because of her.
And while the ocean is so giving
every night she looks up to the stars
and wishes that maybe one day
she’ll find someone
who loves her endlessly.
Someone who finds her broken pieces
her hectic waves
her deepest point
to be
breathtaking
magical
lovely.

hi sierra.. wow, this is stunningly beautiful 🙂 i love how you speak of yourself as an ocean with amazing things in it, its nice to hear of ones self love .. but yes, along with fish and dolphins, there are also not so nice things, if we try and go too deep ! the ocean is very giving and is there for other people , to make them smile .. everybody needs someone to lift them when they are down . we can be self loving and give to others in such a loving way .. but we also need someone there for us , too , especially when we are down .. a truly enjoyable read , so gentle sounding, tender and lovely x
