"Strangers" Meet

Royboy

After a day on the walls
I limped down stairs
Of the bus and Saw myself
In the dark window
As usual I began to stare.

"Ewan!" called a voice
Not unfamiliar,
But buried in time...
Like a plot of an old book
But least a ways
I looked around
And to my surprise,
My innate glare
had to change.
As I turned to see
Who had interrupted
my well exercised
Glare into my own eyes.

My scowl turned
Into (i hope)
A smile as sat there was...
Dina.
A girl from my sordid past
and she called me over
And we made small talk
Before agreeing to meet.

I left the bus elated
and slightly confused,
A pretty girl had talked to me
And had seemed amused at the
quips I made.
And I made more
just to see her smile and laugh.
Which I hadn't seen a girl do
for far too long

Now, friends come and go
Its just a fact
But it makes your heart sing
When they come back.

On a personal note, Dina, young lovely,
Those weird fakemeat sticks were the bomb!
But the peanuts and fish were really not.

So lets go somewhere normal this time
Not that chinese are weird
It would just be nice for you
to tell me over a table
"There's food in your beard!"
Not walking up the street.
