The Soundscape Of Your Mind, a short poem about headphones

Noah Malice

Hand out-stretched reaching to the table

Fumbling around for a headphone cable

Fingers follow the knotted bands
Carefully tied by random chance

Straightening out the mathematical mess
Every morning is a patience test
And when it's done and the knots are cleared
Those headphones press gently to hungry ears

Life gets boring and life is mundane
Time passes slowly and it gets to your brain
Life gets scary left alone in your head
Better to fill it with music instead

La la la la la la la
La la la la-la la la-la

This enjoyable poem that finds significance in one of life's seemingly more simple happenings definitely deserves more views. Well done, I like it!

It's a good message and poem - but don't be afraid to take those headphones off once in a while - then you can write a poem!

Thank you, and yes I think I will.
