Time passed
Things changed
I loved you and you loved me
You moved on
I stuck around
I fought for you
And you let me down
I cried and cried
And begged for your presence
And you ignored and continued to go your own way
I sit here in pain
While you sit in cheer
With the girl you now love
And I’m still here
You live your life
And I’ll live mine
You were my first love
But I’ll shall love more
I learned a lot from you
And I cherish it too
Time heals all scars
And that’s what I need
I love you for the man you were
And the man you have become
But it’s my time to soak up the tears
And realize you’re gone
and not coming back
You have moved on
And I have not
God has a plan
And that plan will be revealed
All he needs is time
To bring good cheers
But until then we will learn
Everything happens for a reason

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem really cuts deep to me... my boyfriend of two years left me after something tragic happened to me.. I sit here and try to fight these things off with myself while he’s moving on. It seems I’m stuck in the mud with depression while he’s happy loving another girl. Please let me know what you think!

Poems are a wonderful way to work through your pain.......
Most definitely. I have never written something like this a day in my life. And after this is just seemed so easy to put my feelings in it. I have another I’m kinda working on. It’s taking me a while it’s about the tragic thing that happened to me. It’s also gonna be a poem that will really cut deep on me emotionally.
