secondchancesyndrome

Notice of absence from secondchancesyndrome
Okay, when I shuffle off this earthly folly you'll not be hearing from me unless you attend a spiritualist church.

There is snow
falling
haphazardly
I was watching while
thinking
She
was sleeping.

Breathing quietly
I close the door and
turn the key.

and then I'm here
among commuters
smelling Sunday and
stale beer.

Monday
where the remnants of
a weekend
lay in pizza boxes
food for urban foxes.

It's depressing how depressing
Monday makes me feel
some internal wounding
that never seems to heal.

I suppose it's just a shade of
winter blue
which we all go through
I know I do.

The snow will stop and I
will pop my head above
the parapet
get
some fresh air
and
wonder where
I am
or where I'm going

Snowing?
it's February
so if has to be
doesn't it.
