Wear Your Smile

"Carter Wills"

Have you ever just felt worthless?
As if no one even cares?
As if you're just invisible,
and no one sees you there?

Have you ever had one of those days?
Just wanting to lay in bed and cry?
Not doing anything with opportunity,
just laying and wondering “Why?”

I think we've all been there,
at some point or another.
But I think it's about time,
we take this to wonder.

Why feel down when there's so much to do?
So much you've yet to see?
Why cry when the sun still rises,
and you've still got air to breathe?

So raise your head, my friend!
There's much more yet to be done!
So come along, and be joyous,
and this battle will finally be won.

It may not be all so easy,
and there will certainly be stumbles along the way.
But what's that matter now?
We're at the start of a brand new day.

So let your face wear your smile,
and keep it there from then on.
Give it time, you'll be just fine,
and the dark days will be gone.

I often wear a fake smile as to not disappoint others, this actually made me smile though. Really great write, I enjoyed reading this.

Just courtesy's sake, apologies. Parents raised me to be kind and polite. I follow the model.

It is appreciated, common courtesy is often an important thing. But no need to call me ma'am from now on. XD

              I'll keep it in mind
