Come and Stay

Raymond

Come and Stay

How can I come and stay?

never run the wild streets again

live in the tiny spots of light

that dance on your glistening lips

as you smile, and

say my name

How can I come and stay?

never stand all night in freezing doorways

Held in that secret place;

that thrilling and tactile heaven of your hands upon my skin,

as you sigh into the hollow of my shoulder, and

perfect love casts out fear ?

Will you – my only love – come and stay?

Never again cry alone in the crushing darkness

Have your every waking moment filled, with

the gifts that I have always held within me for only you,

rest with me in The Most Holy Place, where

all that we have ever been, or may ever be,  is made perfect in Love ?
