Cuppa Tea

Liam Lawless

Everyone has a cuppa,
Each to their own,
A unique concoction,
That brings you home.

For me it must be strong

With a fair amount of milk
Its creamy and flavoursome
With a soft texture of silk.

Pour in some sugar,

A teaspoons will normally do.
My cuppa must be sweet;
So sometimes I pour in two.

How do you drink your tea?

With sugar or without?
However you drink it;
I assume it is different to me.

    Well, to quote a comedy programme: My tea is so weak sometimes, people ask if it is ferret p*e. ohhh! One sugar these days, though used to be two. A fine write.

    Growing up we had to "polish the silver teapot" for the daily teatime....... I miss my parents!

      I'm sorry about your parents.
