Our Destiny

Our Destiny

There is a plan of what life will be

Whether a yellow rose or a maple tree

One growing colorful with flowers pretty

The other with shade there for sitting

They each grow from little seeds

With water and sun there basic needs

And each can only be itself

With no struggle or freedom felt

God gives us the ability to choose

All the things that we do

With freedom to do this or that

With our conscience of good and bad

So put the roses in a vase

And enjoy them again another day

But know that God hears your prayers

And forgives with grace all your cares

Celebrate choosing Him

As He is the beginning and the end

And thank Him that has made us free

To choose Him as our destiny

A fine write wc. I tend to be semi-formal and wordy sometimes in my poems. I find your simple, but not as simpleton!

I've not forgotten your poem of 'His Love'. Will post as a hymn-poem one day.
