Pursuing my quest, to love myself.
Unchaining, shackles which weigh me down
Replenish wounds from repetitive patterns.
Scars of sacrifices, I will always bear.
Unpleasant tastes, I will dilute.
Impish whispers haunt my mind.
Thrashing at my soul.
Open up my eminent strength.
Face my fears which hound my mind
Lavish in their failing…wailing, weep!
Oh! And weep they will!
Veer my soul from evocative ways
Empower myself.....to love myself.
Wallow in victory, bathe in joy.
Inner emotions, a potent watershed
Trickles of purity, wet my lips.
Habits will rot of starvation!
I will strive, to honour my oath
"No!" A verbal word, I will forebode!

Hi Poet..... it's a hard lesson to love oneself - having to fight the "don't be selfish" lessons we learn early on. Such a fine line of difference!
indeed Lorna 🙂
