Searching Eyes

Accidental Poet

 

He searches the faces

For eyes that search for him

A woman of loneliness

For the man of her dreams within

 

A rare quality of intuition

Womanly attraction

A magnetized character

To command a man’s attention

 

Not just any woman

Can satisfy this quest

For she too must need him

To spiritually pass this test

 

Time after time

They both think they meet

Until something goes awry

They both fall victim of deceit

 

And still the search goes on

Ever searching eyes

Carefully distinguishing

Between the real deal and disguise

 

Ironically they both

Hear the same lines

Words of caution

Little tell-tale signs

 

And someday

These eyes will meet

And quickly realize

Their search is now complete
