Reflections of a Gas Pump

ann.qindar

Does she know where you go

Or where you stop

After work

before obligation

Suffering man

Relieve the daily pressure

fill up on self esteem

Pump until the tank overflows

Make pleasant conversation

No time for real connection

A polite business transaction

A pump has no feelings

You are careless when you pump

Does she ever notice the smell

of gasoline covering your body

She probably doesn’t care
