My Eyes

A. F. Naturaliy

Darkening clouds and blurry skies,

Are all I see through my corrupted eyes.

Fire burns while enemies rise,

I cannot see through my corroded eyes.

Dancing and laughter are all fried,

As I look with my decayed eyes.

Smiles and joy have all died,

As I stare longingly with my destroyed eyes.

You stand by to watch me cry,

Hoping to heal my tired eyes.

You stand there helplessly watching me die,

As I tear out these dreadful eyes.

    Very impactful writing.
As I read out loud, it flowed nicely.
    Well done 👍
