Alice in Wonderland

A. F. Naturaliy

Falling down the darkened hole,

Tick, tick, the rabbit's watch tolls.

Strange greetings in her path,

Until she meets the Cheshire Cat.

He's the strangest of them all,

Disappearing and reappearing, making her skin crawl.

He tells her to follow the path,

Which leads her to a certain Queen's wrath.

Playing games and roses red,

The Queen shouts, "Off with her head!"

The young girl escapes with a wild scream,

Until she awakes, realizing it was just a dream.
