“I love you”

AlinaVanderson

“I love you”

Even if I were to burn an encyclopedia

There would not be enough words in the ashes

To tell you how much I love you

I wish love was a democracy

A conventional lock with a stolen key

A people's choice for you and me

A pirates ship on open sea

I wish love was a government

A letter oh so recently sent

A broken pipe thats banged and bent

A criminal with jail time spent

Even if I were to step on the ashes

There would not be enough words on the bottom of my boot

To show you how much I love you.
