Pastor Mockingbird

Pastor Mockingbird

In the early days of spring

The fruit trees start flowering

In the sunshine all around

And where a mockingbird is found

He sits handsomely at the top

And preaches there with all he's got

And leads the others with his song

Beautifully and all day long

Other ones are also called

When they see the mockingbird tall

And celebrate when they see

an orchard with many beautiful trees

They know when the fruit is ready

It will be a beautiful paradise setting

With no fruit there forbidden

And everything there forgiven

The mockingbird sings his songs

Of the paradise where they belong

And says a very special prayer

Giving thanks for the orchard growing there
