My Dad

ForeverJesus7

We have had our differences,

in the past.

Some were really big,

but over all,

I get along with my dad.

We have come,

a long way from them.

A lot of the mistakes,

I claim to own,

I am glad I did not wait.

The Lord helped us,

reconcile our differences,

before it turned to late.

We still have,

our disagreements,

but we love each other very much.

Fun is fun,

but this is stronger.

There is nothing like a father and son.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I just pray and hope that I will be able to be there for my dad if he ever needs me. There is something special about a bond between a father and a son, even if you begin to mend that bond in your mid-twenties.
