Roses II

Noah Malice

This is how it goes
You smell like a rose
Plucked carelessly
And recklessly
Staining the inside of my palm
Red on the outside we both look so calm

This is how it goes
Push your petals to my nose
They tickle playfully
I look down shamefully
Reluctantly notice the feeling is fading
And the scent of those petals already decaying

This is how it goes
Can't last long before it shows
Can't help from feeling guilt
Can't stop the rose's wilt
Or admit I'll always quit committing
I love you (just kidding)
