A Date With Ice Cream

A Date With Ice Cream

I have a date with ice cream

And anticipate her so

She treats me in the evening

Always creamy in my bowl

I add a little chocolate

To make her even better

Quickly from the fridge

For an avalanche of pleasure

She really makes me happy

Each evening that she treats

I eat her by the pints

And she always comforts me

She satisfies my sweet tooth

And a craving often felt

She is yummy and a delight

And a treat to my self

She is a favorite date

And I love her so

Whether a chocolate shake

Or peaches a la mode

My taste buds love to have her

Sometimes with a cookie too

She couldn’t get any better

And is my favorite food

Yes, Lorna. There's nothing like a little ice cream in the middle of the night!

        Looking in the freezer
No ice cream to be found
        And upon my face
        An unpleasant frown

So now I'm off to the store
        For that cold tasty treat
        Chocolate ice cream and sauce
        Deliciousness that can't be beat

        Love your poem WC (literally!)
