Whiskey

Brie

You were the burn in my throat

The spice on my tongue

The blur in my vision

The whiskey on my breath

You became the smoke I blew out

The addiction I inhaled, and of that, it was the worst

An addiction to what was supposed to be a game

A game you played, and of that, it was the best

I was sucked into the web of fibs,

The ocean of tears,

The flames of hurt

You were the burn in my throat

The spice on my tongue

The blur in my vision

The whiskey on my breath
