I still do

Patricia LaFazia

Late at night when the stars fill sky;
Do you think about me?
On Main St. During rush hour and it’s bumper to bumper;
Have you forgotten when I sat there?
On the river bank where the fish jump high in the air;
do you remember the time I kissed you there?

Because I still do
I can’t help it
Can’t shake it
I’m Trying so damn hard to make it

Without you

When you hold her close
When you pull her near
When she’s whispering in your ear
It doesn’t phase you, that it’s not my voice you hear?
You replaced the love

I held so dear
I never thought you would be the one that just wouldn’t care

Because I still do
I can’t help it
Can’t shake it
I’m Trying so damn hard to make it

Without you

I wait for the day

I no longer see your face everywhere
That moment the sun will finally reappear
The second my eyes stop shedding tears
I wish for that minute

when love is something I no longer fear

because right now, I still do
I can’t help it
Can’t shake it
I’m Trying so damn hard to make it

Without you

    A sad tune it may be, but a tune that lives within your own heart.
    I know this tune oh so well myself. Great write Patricia.
