“FORLORN LOVE”

Andrew Guzaldo

Oh the exodus blend of hope and love,
Fervor in merging with such despondency,
The affection as light as the pollen of a flower,
The words imperceptibly began to leave our lips.

How dreadfully brief my desire was to you,
In it was my jaunt of my longing to be near,
It follows me as such because you are you,
Perhaps no one believed blossoming breeze,

It follows you wherever you may be a glimmer
The glowing origin of the golden rose you are,
The Memories of you emerge and encircle me,
Like a vessel you honed immense altruism,

I raise my drink to you a drink of undying ecstasy,
As the immense prodigious shattered your vessel,
Leaving us in the solace of a distant islet,
In the darkness of the enclave your arms held me,

It was there we adjured thirst and hunger,
And you were the fruit that quenched my passion,
It is of love you will love me and I you,
It is the hour of exodus, of forlorn Love”
