The game I lose

roudan

I've lost the dreams you gave me while trying to regain
Your heart that i have lost in this chaotic game
The love I've put for sale, your trust and all the kindness
I've played it all while smiling denying my own blindness.

I hoped that i could win but this unlucky hand,
Kept taking the same deal, kept playing in the sand.
I didn't want the falling!  the truth is so fragile,
A wish of a small spring who wants to become Nile

I even lost my shadow and have become a ghost
But i still do believe that everything's not lost.
And one day i will win and put everything back
So we can add some colour to this persistent black.

Great imagery. "a wish of a small spring who wants to be the Nile"; "even lost my shadow"; "add some color to this persistent black"
Each one of these even stands well alone as a poem.
