O, why must I continue this struggle?
All I wish is to be by her side
Whatever I may face throughout my life
In her heart, I wish to reside.
Why must I go without love?
While as necessary to life as food and shelter
It is not nearly as easy to attain.
Without it, is to live in a lonesome swelter
Waiting for the angel of death
To arrive and take you home.
For only in heaven will your struggles
Cease to be your own.
There is Inner battle which transpires
Within each and every man,
Between the ideals of love
And the pure pursuit of any woman’s hand.
Culture has failed young men, they have led them astray
Men are under the impression that they don’t need love
Quite the contrary, it is exactly what they require.
They must never put any desire above.
