No Where To Move On To (My Personal Heartbreak)

Johnny Dean

I sit

And I stand

And I think,

"All is different"

I look to my phone

But there is no one to contact

I sworn I could remember

At least someone to write letters

So I go do my German

Sit down like a scholar

But wait a second.

I haven't done this since fall!

Oh me, oh my

I must be loosing my mind

I look at the time

I must go, its Sunday, 11:25

As I pull out the driveway

And head down the road

I am soon to realize

I've got nowhere to go!

Still so hungry I am

I head through to Red Robin

And I go ahead and ask,

"Can I get a snack for two?"

There, I joke and I laugh

But I don't hear it right back

Suddenly my senses come through

And that is that I miss you

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is personal because it is of my first and only heartbreak. It alludes to things in the relationship that you, the reader, wouldn't know. Still, this came from deep in my heart and I hope that the emotion can be shared and related regardless of fully understanding the piece. Thank you for reading.

    Good writer!
I’m sorry for your first heartbreak.
Wish I could tell you, it’ll be your last.

Its alright. Cycle of life, and the cycle remains. Thanks for your condolences 😀
