Quite Alright

Edthepoet

If there's no judgment
Then why did you laugh?
If there's no problem?
Then why do you ask?
If your being honest
Then what's with the mask?

All that I ask of you
Is to please leave me alone
I wasn't hurting anyone
So let me go home
No I don't need anything
To do with who it is you
Think I should be
I'm quite alright with being me.

If there's no pressure
Then why can't I breathe
If there's no measure
Then who am I beneath
If your so much better
Then wheres the prestige

All that I ask of you
Is to please leave me alone
I wasn't hurting anyone
So let me go home
No I don't need anything
To do with who it is you
Think I should be
I'm quite alright with being me

Hardest lesson to ever learn - is that no one can tell you how to live.... I like the defiance in the poem.........
