Moments gone by

Poetic Dan

I sit and play" you are my sunshine" on the violin
The emotions crash through my soul like waves on the beach
As I see them in my arms once more then gone in a silent beat
Truly blessed that they are alive but doomed to be on the side line

To write with love of the moments gone by
Forever learning how to keep my own light burning bright

    That happens doesn't it - when sometimes emotions just seem to disappear or just get shunted aside because we have other people and things that need us........the last stanza is beautiful....

    • Poetic Dan

      Yeah I was just going to keep that by it self but it was sadness that got me there.
      Thanks for listening

      Very relatable, Dan!
      I’ve shed many tears
      while listening to...
      “you are my sunshine “!
      It finally peeked...
      and now it’s finally there!
      Continue to keep your own
      “light burning bright”!
      The sunshine will be there
      for you!
      Your write is a bit sad, but
      hopeful! There are many
      rays of sunshine waiting
      for you!

        Gosh, I feel very grateful for the compassion today. Even when we feel alone we never truly are thank you for your positive vibe

          You’re very welcome!
          ~~~~~~
          That is the beauty of this
          site...for the most part!
          We don’t know each other
          visually, but we do know
          one another through our
          work! We are an eclectic
          group from all parts of
          the world! Most interesting!
