Small talk and bigger dreams

OrderFallingToChaos

Ive never quite been so good with small talk,
I'm a very big thinker,
And when your mother asks what do I want to do with my future,
I don't quite know how to tell her,
I don't quite know what to tell her,
I have spent my life searching for a way to be happy,
A way to be content,
So when your mother asks me what I want to do with my future,
I know she's looking for me to say that I have big plans,
But I'll be honest I've never been the best planner either,
I know that when I see your eyes mine brighten,
And when I see your smile I grow metaphorical wings,
I know that your hand in mine feels like something that deserves time,
And that is something I'd like to do with my future,
As of now I don't know where I'm going,
I have no idea where the finish line to the race that is my life is located,
I have no idea when I'll get there,
Nor the hills or canyons between it and I,
But I do know I want you there,
I want you to come with me,
And after every hill we can stop and have a picnic,
Where we can look into eachothers eyes and get lost the same way my brain does when your mother asks me what I want to do with my future,
Until she snaps me back into reality and I answer,
"I don't know."

Come back and write more. If you find your true style you could write some epic stuff. Best of luck with your endeavors sir.

Thanks man, I would if I could. I'm just generally busy or depressed. But thanks, I appreciate your comment.
